Step by step
1. Peeling walls

Damp had lifted paint and plaster in large patches on several walls of the apartment.
2. Around the pipes

Behind the water heater the plaster had crumbled around the pipes. Anything loose is taken off.
3. Down to a sound base

Behind the counter the wall was stripped back to the masonry, so the new plaster sits on a sound base.
4. New plaster

The stripped areas are filled with new plaster and brought level with the rest of the wall.
5. The counter area restored

The wall behind the counter was plastered and painted white.
6. Next to the window

In the corner beside the window the damp had ruined a whole strip of plaster, from the ceiling down.
7. The same corner afterwards

With new plaster and paint, the corner no longer stands out from the rest of the wall.
8. The apartment ready

Clean white walls from the front door to the kitchen, ready to be lived in again.
