Terrace Pipes Boxed in with Wood and Waterproofed
The pipes along the foot of a terrace wall had an old cover that had fallen apart. They were boxed in with wood, the joints were sealed, and the whole box, along with the tiles around it, was waterproofed with a white coating.

Step by step
1. Where we started

Pipes run along the foot of the wall. Their old cover had come apart and the material inside had soaked up water.
2. A wooden cover

The pipes are boxed in with new wood boards, following their run along the wall.
3. Sealing the joints

The joints with the wall and floor, and the box's own corners, are sealed first.
4. Every edge

Every edge is checked so the waterproofing that follows finds no open spot.
5. The result

The box and a strip of the surrounding tiles are covered in white waterproofing. The pipes are now protected, and water finds no way in at the joints.
