Step by step

1. Where we started

A lime green room with patches of filler

The walls were a loud lime green. The white spots are filler in the holes and cracks.

2. Filling

Filler along corners and joints in the wall

Cracks in the corners and joints are filled. The smoother the base, the cleaner the final paint.

3. The old floor tiles

Broken old tiles on the floor

The broken floor tiles were lifted before the painting started.

4. White walls

The room painted white, with the glazed door

Covering such a strong colour takes several coats of white, so no green shows through.

5. Door and ceiling

A white wall with a door and ceiling lights

Walls and ceiling in the same clean white.

6. The result

A white wall with glass blocks

A bright, neutral room, ready to be furnished however the owner likes.
