Step by step

1. Where we started

The old terrace with worn paving

The paving was worn and stained. The darker patch in the middle shows where the work began.

2. Base layer

The terrace with its base layer, where the white starts

A base layer covers the whole surface and evens out the paving and its joints. At the far end the white coat is already starting.

3. The white coating

The white coating across the terrace

The white waterproof coating is spread across the whole terrace, right up to the foot of the low walls.

4. One continuous surface

The terrace with the tins of material

The surface is now one piece, with none of the old paving joints showing. The white also reflects the sun.

5. The details

The white surface around the base of a satellite dish

The coating also goes around the base of the satellite dish, so no spot is left bare.
