Balcony Tiles Sealed with a White Coating
Stained tiles with blackened grout were cleaned and covered with a white waterproof coating, without lifting them, that also runs up the skirting.

Drag to compare
Step by step
1. Dirt in the corners

Dirt and black marks from standing water had built up in the corners and along the balcony door sill.
2. Stained tiles

The grout had turned black and the tiles were covered in stains. Anything left on the surface stops the new material from bonding.
3. A clean base

The surface is cleaned thoroughly and left to dry before anything goes on.
4. First coat

The white waterproof coating goes straight over the tiles. Nothing has to be lifted, so there is no dust or rubble in the home.
5. A smooth, glossy surface

The coating closes up the grout lines and leaves a smooth surface that is easy to clean.
6. Corners and skirting

The material is taken a little way up the wall like a skirting, so the joint between floor and wall is not left open.
